YOKOSUKA, Japan (Mar. 31, 2023) — Captain Les Sobol, Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY), Command Master Chief Robert Beachy, CDR Lida Cooper, CFAY's chief staff officer, and Sherrill Wines, event coordinator for the Yokosuka Navy Exchange (NEX) cut a cake during a cake cutting ceremony in celebration of the NEX's 77th birthday. For more than 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
