Lida Cooper, the chief staff officer of Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY), speaks to attendees at the Pacific Youth of the Year Luncheon at the Officer’s Club onboard CFAY. The Youth of the Year program is a recognition program for teens organized by the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, which honors and celebrates the nation’s most inspiring teens and their stories of leadership and excellence. For 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
