Sailors assigned to the "Tomcatters" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 31 prepare to launch an F/A-18E Super Hornet, also attached to VFA-31, from the flight deck of the first-in-class aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), March 29, 2023. Ford is underway in the Atlantic Ocean conducting routine operations and training to maintain readiness.
