A U.S Marine military policeman with the Provost Marshal's Office, Security and Emergency Services Battalion, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, displays spike strips on Camp Pendleton, California, April 1, 2023. At approximately 11:00 a.m. a vehicle attempted to gain unauthorized access to the installation through the Cristianitos Gate during an off-base traffic pursuit involving the California Highway Patrol.
