Recruits with Echo Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion learn swimming fundamentals in preparation for the Water Survival Basic Qualification at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C., on April 5, 2023. To pass swim qualification, all recruits must successfully be able to complete a 25 meter swim, high dive, tread water, pack swim, and quickly remove gear under full submersion.
