U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Conner Allam an ammo technician with 3rd Sustainment Group (Experimental), 3rd Marine Logistics Group was named Marine Corps Ammo Technician of the Year for being an outstanding junior Marine and for his exceptional ability to complete tasks that were assigned to him. Ammo technicians are responsible for storing, handling, and the safe transportation of ammunition. Allam, a native of Marine City, Michigan graduated from Marine City High School in 2021 and enlisted out of Recruiting Substation Macomb in 2021. 3rd MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward-deployed combat unit that serves as III MEF’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
