The multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), in the distance, conducts a replenishment-at-sea with the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Laramie (T-AO 203). Iwo Jima is the flagship of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group and with the embarked 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (24th MEU) is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
