USS Virginia (SSN 774), the first in the newest class of fast-attack submarines, makes its way up the Thames River and past Fort Trumbull following a change of homeports from Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine, to Naval Submarine Base New London in Groton, Conn., on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.
