WASHINGTON NAVY YARD (April 13, 2023) Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro looks at conceptual renderings from five architecture firms at the National Museum of the U.S. Navy, during an unveiling event that finalized the Navy's Artistic Ideas Competition. The competition is an effort by Naval History and Heritage Command to explore the full range of possibilities for the future National Museum of the U.S. Navy. Now in the conceptual stage, the Navy envisions the future museum with greater public access, a new building, ceremonial courtyard and potential renovation of existing historical buildings.
