Miguel Sarmiento, 633d Logistics Readiness Squadron aircraft parts store supervisor, utilizes a forklift to lower a large cargo pallet onto a weighing station for processing at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, Mar. 26, 2023. The cargo was sent to Powidz Air Base, Poland, as part of a scheduled aircraft rotation in support of the U.S.’s forward fighter presence along NATO’s Eastern Flank to ensure forces in Europe are ready to protect and defend partners, allies and U.S. interests at a moment’s notice, and generate lethal combat power should deterrence fail.
