GULF OF TADJOURA, Djibouti (March 14, 2023) Machinist Mate 2nd Class Nicholas Marcolina, from Philadelphia, PA., assigned to Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron 8, deployed to Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, shows "ALL CLEAR" before securing the guns and heading back into port, March 14. The Maritime Expeditionary Security Force is a core Navy capability that provides port and harbor security, high value asset security, and maritime security in the coastal and inland waterways. Camp Lemonnier (CLDJ) serves as an expeditionary base for U.S. military forces providing, support to ships, aircraft, and personnel that ensure security throughout Europe, Africa, and Southwest Asia.
