SAN DIEGO (April 3, 2023) Capt. Robert Heely, commanding officer of Naval Base San Diego and a native of Norfolk, Va., presents the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Installation Unit Advocate of the Year award to Interior Communications Electrician 2nd Class Jayson Salgado, of Lawrence, Ind., during a ceremony. Salgado is assigned to USS Boxer (LHD-4), a Wasp-class amphibious ship homeported at Naval Base San Diego. The event was held to bring awareness to Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.
