DIEGO GARCIA, British Indian Ocean Territory — Service members and installation personnel on Diego Garcia sign up to participate in an 11-mile walk on the island April 16, 2023, to remember the Bataan Death March that occurred during WWII when 60,000 to 80,000 American and Filipino prisoners of war were forced to transfer locations by marching more than 70 miles.
