Photo illustration created to highlight 1st Lt. Adam Allmer, who was nominated as a Renowned Reservist, at Fort Carson, Colorado, March 11, 2023. Allmer is a gun’s platoon commander with 5th Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division.
Allmer, a Wahpeton, North Dakota native, thanked his parents for “instilling that reserve mentality” in him. His parents were both in the National Guard which inspired him to join the Marine Corps Reserves. Allmer continued to explain that the Marine Corps, like his civilian occupation, is filled with challenges and problem solving.
Allmer is a quality engineer in his personal profession. He inspects and ensures good quality products for manufacture as well as dealing with defects and proposing new solutions for any problems.
Stay tuned to see the Renowned Reservists training as a part of Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) 25 in the upcoming Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) this summer. ITX is a live-fire and maneuver combined arms exercise designed to train battalion and squadron-sized units in tactics, techniques, and procedures. The exercise also acts as a mass mobilization rehearsal for the Reserve units and enhances the total Reserve force readiness to rapidly deploy when called. This provides a sustainable and ready operational Reserve force for employment across the full spectrum of crisis and global engagement. (U.S. Marine Corps photo illustration by Lance Cpl.
