In celebration of Earth Day, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island held an Earth Day Celebration ceremony at the Earth Day Park Trail aboard the base April 19th. At the celebration, Mr. Karnig H. Ohannessian, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Environment and Mission Readiness) spoke on the importance of preservation and conservation of our nation’s natural resources.
