A C-47 Skytrain is on display at the Southern California Airshow. The C-47 served as the main cargo plane of allied forces throughout WWII. It's best known for it's use on D-Day, where it dropped thousands of paratroopers into occupied France in the beginning hours of the invasion. The Southern California Air Show showcased airframes from the U.S. Army, Navy, Marine Corp. and Air Force as well as several civilian aviation airframes in a family-friendly environment.
