U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Antoine Graham Jr., a career counselor assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion, 66th Armored Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, poses for a portrait on Fort Riley, Kansas, April, 19, 2023. Graham, a native of Kinston, North Carolina, enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2010 as a combat medic.

“Never let even the smallest opportunities pass you by,” said Graham. “There were plenty of opportunities in the Army that were so small that I kind of let pass by me. Later on, when you look back you see what great opportunities they could have been. So I encourage everyone, even if it’s a small opportunity, or what’s considered a small opportunity to you now, it’s going to be a much greater reward to you in the end. Continue to always push for growth.”
