Elements of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) process simulated evacuees through the evacuation control center (ECC) during a Non-combatant Evacuation Operation (NEO) as part of Amphibious Ready Group/MEU Exercise (ARGMEUEX) at Stone Bay, North Carolina, April 25, 2023. During NEOs, the U.S. Department of Defense assists the U.S. Department of State with the evacuation of citizens and approved personnel to an appropriate safe haven.
