U.S. Army Central Soldiers and staff wear denim recognizing Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month at Patton Hall, Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., April 26, 2023. Denim Day is an internationally recognized SAAPM event, which supports the month’s objective of increasing awareness and outreach by encouraging people to wear denim. Wearing denim expresses support for sexual assault survivors and serves as a visible protest against these crimes and the negative stigma they carry. This year the Army’s SAAPM campaign highlights the importance of building a culture of trust and intervention to prevent any unwanted sexual behavior. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Amber Cobena)
