U.S. Navy Electronics Technician 3rd Class Michael Ferrer uses a microscope to inspect a fiber optic cable from a sonar control panel aboard the guided missile destroyer USS Farragut (DDG 99). Farragut was part of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group and was under way in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations, theater security cooperation efforts and support missions for Operation Enduring Freedom.
