Dr. Renate Frydman, Holocaust survivor and curator and docent for the Holocaust exhibit at the National Museum of the United States Air Force as well as the director of the Dayton Holocaust Resource Center, recounts her personal story of the Holocaust April 18, 2023, of how her grandfather saved her by transporting her and her family away from Germany at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Wright-Patterson observes Holocaust Remembrance Day every year to honor those six million Jews who were persecuted and murdered by the Nazi Germans during the Holocaust.
