Soldiers from the 57th Troop Command Conduct Foot March. During a march, Soldiers may carry an assault pack, body armor, helmets, weapon, four quarts of water, and other necessary equipment weighing from 35-70 pounds or more. Many units today conduct 26-mile marches to build cohesion, esprit-de-corps, and make training realistic, physically tough, and mentally challenging.
