NAVAL STATION NORFOLK (April 27, 2023) – Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Justin Reed supervises the Small Craft Action Team (SCAT) aboard the foc’sle of the guided-missile destroyer USS Stout (DDG 55) during a berth shift, Apr. 27. SCAT is stationed during special evolutions such as Sea and Anchor detail as an anti-terrorism and force protection measure. Stout is currently homeported at Naval Station Norfolk.
