Carson Downum, a horizontal construction engineer assigned to the 2120th Engineer Company, 120th Engineer Battalion, 90th Troop Command, Oklahoma Army National Guard, finishes the two-mile run during the Army Combat Fitness Test, the first event of the Best Warrior Competition held at Camp Gruber Training Center, April 21, 2023. The annual competition brings Soldiers together to demonstrate their proficiency in a variety of warrior tasks and drills such as land navigation, marksmanship, an obstacle course, and a 12-mile ruck march, all culminating in an interview with a panel of sergeants major.
