The remains of World War II Soldier U.S. Army Air Forces 1st Lt. Carl D. Nesbitt, were interred May 15, in Annville, Pennsylvania. The Lima, Ohio, native was killed in action May 29, 1944, when the B-17G Flying Fortress bomber his was piloting during a bombing mission over Leipzig, Germany, was shot down after enemy fighters attacked the bomber’s formation.
