Spc. Gabriel Senf, infantryman, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 135th Infantry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division, Minnesota Army National Guard, is one of 14 competitors and five guests from Hungary and Serbia to compete in the 2023 Region IV Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition at Camp James A. Garfield Joint Military Training Center in Newton Falls, Ohio, May 6, 2023. Kerfeld took home the title of Noncommissioned Officer of the Year. The BWC was a five-day competition that tested Region IV ARNG Soldiers on a variety of technical and tactical skills, including both mentally and physically challenging events. The Region IV ARNG NCO and Soldier of the Year will represent Region IV at the National BWC later this year.
