Marine Cpl. Nicholas Kimmel threw out the first pitch in Game 2 of the 2012 World Series in San Francisco, Calif., Oct. 26, 2012, where the Giants competed against the Detroit Tigers. Kimmel is a triple amputee still serving on Marine Corps active duty with the Wounded Warrior Regiment and is a native of Moses Lake, Wash.
