Participating in Defender Europe, 4x combat communication Airmen deployed with the 442d Fighter Wing to take part in Defender Europe 23.
The 1st CBCS is a part of the 435th ACOMG located Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Their mission is to rapidly provide deployable communications and air traffic control services throughout Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. In many cases, the unit’s mission requires its members to be some of the first US forces to arrive and the last to leave. Hence the motto, “First In–Last Out.“
U.S. Army Europe and Africa is an adaptive organization that works to meet the operational requirements of the European theater.
