    Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz

Marines and civilians with Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Blaz stop to discuss native flora on Tweed's Cave trail on MCB Camp Blaz, Guam, May 17, 2023. George Tweed was a Navy Radioman stationed on Guam on the onset of the Guam occupation. He evaded the Imperial Japanese Forces for almost three years with the help of local CHamoru families. He was the only U.S. service member to successfully evade the Japanese forces and survive on Guam until the island's liberation in July 1944. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
