The 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) marched in the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade presented by Events DC, District of Columbia, April 15, 2023. The National Cherry Blossom Festival has been a tradition in the United States Army Military District of Washington for over a century. The festival commemorates cherry blossom trees sent from the Mayor of Tokyo in 1912. The festival honors the enduring friendship between the people of the United States and Japan.
