A U.S Army Soldier with the 250th Brigade Support Battalion, New Jersey Army National Guard, carries his gear before leaving for Fort Polk, Louisiana, from Teaneck, New Jersey, May 21,2023. 112 Soldiers of the 250th BSB, Alpha Company and Headquarters and Headquarters Company journeyed to JRTC and Fort Polk, May 18-19, 2023, ahead of the 44th IBCT's training rotation there. Nearly 3,000 NJANRG Soldiers will be assessed on their units' ability to conduct large scale combat operations in a multi-domain setting against a near-peer opposing force. It is the organization’s largest training exercise in over a decade, with approximately 2,500 additional Soldiers from a dozen states and Puerto Rico also participating.
