Florida Army National Guard Soldiers with the 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 2-124th Infantry Regiment, conduct a 12 mile ruck march during an Expert Soldier Badge (ESB) and Expert Infantry Badge (EIB) qualification at Camp Blanding Joint Training Center, May 22, 2023. The event was the final assessment candidates had to conquer in order to earn their respective proficiency badges. EIB and ESB courses are designed to put Soldiers' combat skills to the test as they navigate physical and mental exhaustion while maintaining attention to detail in their craft.
