Kennedy, the Commanding Officer of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 8, is pinned with the command at sea insignia by his son during a change of command ceremony at EODMU 8 onboard Naval Station (NAVSTA) Rota, Spain, May 19, 2023. As the "Gateway to the Mediterranean,” NAVSTA Rota provides U.S, NATO and allied forces a strategic hub for operations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
