Cladorian Spears, an air-support operations operator with Marine Air Support Squadron (MASS) 1, uses the Common Aviation Command and Control System in a virtual direct-air support center at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, May 18, 2023. MASS-1 used the Distributed Training Operations Center from the 132nd Wing, Iowa Air National Guard, who offered virtual-air support training from a low-cost external resource intended to train operators in core skills with increased realism in accordance with Training and Education 2030 guidance.
