On April 28, 2023, Task Force Members (TFMs) with the Texas National Guard Joint Counterdrug Task Force Drug Demand Reduction Outreach (DDRO) Program in partnership with Region West Analysts participated in Yucca Heights Elementary School’s annual Career Day on April 28, 2023, in El Paso, Texas. The Texas Guardsmen spoke to students about the Texas Counterdrug mission and how the effects of drug abuse and misuse can not only affect their health but their career goals in the future. The TFMs also answered questions about the Texas National Guard, the military, and their personal career experiences. The DDRO program supports drug abuse and misuse prevention through strategic community engagement to increase community resiliency and promote a healthier, drug-free lifestyle for Texans across the state.
