U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Ethan Holgersen, a Phoenix, AR native and squad leader with Task Force 61/2.3 (Fleet Anti-terrorism Security Team (FAST) Europe), takes a break to pose for a photo, during Judicious Activation 2023 (JACT 23) in Libreville, Gabon, Apr. 27, 2023. Holgersen has served in the Marine Corps for 7 years and says “I thoroughly enjoy mentoring the next generation of Marines in this environment as my second tour with a FAST unit, and appreciative of this opportunity to work with our fellow Partners, the Gabonese Republican Guard.” Task Force 61/2.3 (FASTEUR) provides capabilities such as rapid response expeditionary anti-terrorism and security operations in support of Commanders, United States European Command (COMESEUCOM) and as directed by Commander, U.S. 6th Fleet (C6F) in order to protect vital naval and national assets.
