The Omaha Trophy, sponsored by USSTRATCOM and the USSTRATCOM Consultation Committee, is awarded annually to military units demonstrating the highest performance standards in USSTRATCOM's mission areas. VQ-4 is attached to Commander Strategic Communications Wing (CSCW) 1, a subordinate command of Commander, Naval Air Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, ensuring National Security through deterrence of adversarial nuclear ambitions.
