Elements of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), Charlie Company, Battalion Landing Team (BLT) 1/6, use a command launch unit to target simulated enemy boats during a simulated strait transit part of Composite Training Unit Exercise (C2X), Atlantic Ocean, May 21, 2023. The strait transit simulated the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), Harpers Ferry-class dock landing ship USS Cater Hall (LSD 50) and Mesa Verde (LPD 19) comping into contact with and receiving and returning enemy fire from small boats while in formation. C2X is the last at-sea period of the Pre-deployment Training Program for the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Michele Clarke)
