This visit served to inform leaders from the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Cost Assessment & Program Evaluation (CAPE), and OSD Policy of the operational capabilities embarked aboard the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group Marine Expeditionary Unit shipping and demonstrate long range capabilities in support of the expeditionary advanced base operations, direct action raids, and maritime interception operations in preparation for the upcoming deployment.
