Soldiers of all ranks, races, creeds, and religions are laid to rest together, and are remembered with equal gratitude at the North Africa American Cemetery and Memorial, Carthage, Tunisia, May 29, 2023. There are 56 Stars of David among the more than 6,500 gravesites in the cemetery. Maj. Gen. Todd Wasmund, commanding general, U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), Raymond Kemp Sr., commissioner, American Battle Monuments Commission and U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Tunisia Joey R.
