Soldiers assigned to the 103d Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) Headquarters partnered up with Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs, Vietnam Veterans of America (Chapter 790) and the DAV Des Moines Iowa (Chapter 20) to honor Iowa Veterans that served and sacrificed during the Vietnam War in Des Moines, Iowa, May 8, 2023. Over 200 people attended the Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day ceremony at the Iowa State Capitol Grounds including, Commandant of the Iowa Department of Veteran’s Affairs, Todd Jacobus (Col. Ret.) and Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds.
