Valery Gonzalez, a Mount Pleasant, Iowa, native and infantrywoman assigned to Company C, 1st Battalion, 168th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division, pulls security during a squad live-fire exercise at Camp Guernsey Joint Training Center in Wyoming on May 18, 2023. The Council Bluffs, Iowa, based unit completed a two-week annual training period at Camp Guernsey. Soldiers completed individual and collective tasks at the squad level, to include practicing moving as teams, firing a variety of weapons and conducting air assault movements.
