U.S. Marines with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) fire a M252 mortar system during Supporting Arms Coordination Exercise (SACEX) on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, June 3, 2023. SACEX allows the MEU to practice controlling assaults on a target using naval gunfire from the sea, land-based munitions and airborne weaponry.
