COL David Grant and MSG Lorena Wilson were in New Orleans in May 2023 discussing veteran employment, veteran health, and other issues important to the military and veteran communities. During their trip, Team SFL met with Fernando Rivera, the Director and CEO of the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System, and toured VA facilities in the New Orleans area. COL Grant participated in a panel discussion on military transition at the NextOp Veterans Louisiana Veteran Employment Summit, and MSG Wilson attended an event focusing on women veterans. The team also had the opportunity to visit Tulane University’s Center for Brain Health to talk about their Traumatic Brain Injury program and tour their facility.
