U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Daniel Pena, a satellite transmission operator from 7th Engineer Support Battalion assigned to Marine Corps Engineer Detachment - Palau, applies power to a switch on a radio frequency case for a Very Small Aperture Antenna Subsystem (VSAT) on Peleliu, Republic of Palau, April 26, 2023 The VSAT small provides internet back to the Marines on Peleliu for communication abilities. During this rotational deployment, Navy Seabees and Marine Corps engineers undertake reparation for the southern access road and the expansion of the airstrip which benefit local populations in the Indo-Pacific and enhance the United States’ ability to render support and aid in response to disasters or other crises.
