U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Brian Eifler, commander of the 11th Airborne Division, Command Sgt. Maj. Vern B. Daley, the senior enlisted advisor for the 11th, Joe Dosher (right) and Wayne Porter (left) of the 11th Airborne Division Association, unveil a plaque, renaming the division headquarters building in honor of Medal of Honor recipient and 11th Airborne Division soldier, U.S. Army Pfc. Manuel Perez Jr., during the inaugural Angel Rendezvous Week, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, June 5, 2023. Perez served with the 11th Airborne Division in the Philippines, during WWII and the dedication was part of Angel Rendezvous Week, a week-long celebration of the anniversary of the reactivation of the 11th, honoring the division's history and it's current soldiers serving in one of the toughest climates on Earth.
