A U.S. Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcon assigned to the 20th Fighter Wing receives 22 radar modification upgrades in conjuction with the U.S. Air Force Service Life Extension Program at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., April 19, 2023. These upgrades replaced the APG-68 radar with the new APG-83 Scalable Agile Beam Radar, allowing 20th Fighter Wing F-16s to detect air-to-air and air-to-ground threats at much longer ranges.
