(from left) Col. Joseph Ringer, 39th Weapons Systems Support Group commander, 1st Lt. Megan Luetkemeyer, 673rd Inpatient Operations Squadron aerospace medical services officer and Airman 1st Class Jaclyn Schultz, 39th Operations Support Squadron radar airfield weather systems apprentice, survey the flight line for debris during the second joint foreign object debris walk at Incirlik Air Base, Turkiye, May 25, 2023. Airmen from the 39th Air Base Wing joined with members of the Turkish Air Force to ensure the safety of the flightline and show mutual respect for joint resources. FOD walks are designed to examine particular sites on the flightline to help gather trash, rocks, loose metal objects or anything else that can become a FOD hazard and potentially cause damage to aircraft.
