As the commander of AFRS, Amrhein oversees more than 2,800 Airmen and civilians and approximately 1,040 recruiting offices across the U.S. and abroad. He is responsible for all enlisted accessions and a variety of officer accession programs. AFRS also manages all strategic marketing for the U.S. Air Force. Amrhein, served as vice commander of 19th Air Force, charged with the management and execution of the entire AETC flying training mission, from initial screening to advanced combat crew training, that makes up more than 45 percent of the Air Force’s annual flying hour program.
