The amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA-6) conducts a replenishment at sea with the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Yukon (T-AO-202) in the Pacific Ocean, June 9, 2023. A RAS delivers food, supplies, fuel and mail to Sailors and Marines while underway. The 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit is operating aboard ships of the America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
